You never know when someone is going to enter your life and stay around for a very long time. For us, it was summer 1986, bonding at work where monthly wine tastings were encouraged. Soon we realized a common interest in cooking, which led to road trips—almost always centered around food, shared cookbooks, and brave adventures in entertaining. Along the way, our friendship has flourished—and these two foodies can’t stop cooking.
For us, food is about connecting. Connecting the food we eat to the people and places they come from. Connecting friends and family over a meal or new discovery. Connecting to the past through the recipes and books we’ve collected. The fascinating thing about food is that it is more than the best recipe, or the best source, or the cooking technique, it is also about who you share it with and the memories that creates.
At Bonnie and Joan, we’ll tell our stories, and hope that you will find a tip, a recipe or a tale that inspires you, too.
We’d love to hear from you. Write to us anytime at email@example.com.
